- 주기적 재검증
- 생물안전 연구시설 설비 및 안전장비는 지속적으로 유지 보수 등의 관리를 수행하고 주기적으로 재검증을 수행하여야 한다.
- 주기적 재검증은 시설에서 사용 중인 감염성 미생물에 대한 생물학적 활성 제거가 가능한 소독제로 훈증한 후 및 훈증 결과에 대한 확인을 수행하여 연구시설의 완전한 훈증 소독 이후에 수행 하여야 한다.
- 또한 헤파필터의 교체의 경우에도 생물학적 활성 제거가 가능한 소독제의 훈증 멸균 후 사용했던 헤파필터를 제거 하여야 한다.

가스 멸균 (Gas Decontamination) - HEPA filter 교체하기 전 또는 내부수리(보수)전에 반드시 오염을 제거 한다.
BSCs that have been used for work involving infectious materials must be decontaminated before HEPA filters are changed or internal repair work is done. - 일반적인 오염제거 방법으로 포르말린가스가 사용되었으나 최근에는 Hydrogen peroxide 와 chlorine dioxide 가 성공적으로 사용되고 있다.
The most common decontamination method uses formaldehyde gas, although more recently, hydrogen peroxide vapor and chlorine dioxide gas have been used successfully.

- Microbiological decontamination
- 생물안전작업대(BSC)의 아래 작업시 공간오염제거는 의무적인 규정입니다.
1. 보수 (수리, 점검), 2. HEPA filter 교환, 3. performance test - Space decontamination is mandatory when maintenance work, filter changes, and performance tests require access to any contaminated portion of the cabinet.
- 생물안전작업대 (BSC)를 이동하여 다른 장소에 설치 전(前) 오염제거를 수행하여야 합니다.
- Appropriate decontamination (space and/or surface) should be performed before BSCs are moved to another location.
- Certification of Cabinet Decontamination
- 생물안전작업대 (BSC)의 이전과 보수 또는 휠타교환 또는 성능검사를 수행하기 위해서는 캐비닛의 오염된 부분에 접근(접촉)해야 합니다. 그러므로 BSC의 해체작업이나 보완작업을 진행하기 이전에 필수적으로 캐비닛의 오염제거를 수행해야 합니다.

- 표면오염제거는 작업표면을 이산화염소 또는 포름알데하이드로 제거한다.

- 현재 사용중인 BSC는 이사 전(前)에 반드시 오염제거를 해야한다.
- 더하여 표면오염제거도 철저하게 한다.
적어도 1-2주 전에 안전관리자와 훈증멸균을 토의한다.
BSC 사용자는 책임지고 그릴 하부의 catch tray를 세정, 살균한다. - In addition to a thorough surface decontamination, a BSC currently in service
must be decontaminated further before moving.
At least one to two weeks prior to your move, contact the Technical Assistance Branch of the DOHS to schedule gas decontamination.
The users of the BSC are responsible to clean and disinfect the catch tray under the grill.
After the DOHS decontamination is completed, fill out and attach NIH form 2683, Certification that Equipment is Free from Hazards, to the cabinet (available at NIH Self- Service stores).
Leave the BSC wrapped in the plastic sheeting used in the gas decontamination to help prevent dust accumulation.(이하생략)
